Pride Mass. Heresy?

In New York a local church holds a pride mass during Pride Month in June. The mass is held at a monument of a gay couple, with multiple pride flags in front of it. This year the mass had to be moved due to security concerns.

The mass is a Catholic mass being held by St. Paul the Apostle in New York. The mass is said at Stonewall National Monument in New York, which is a national park. The church has also held another contravertial art display called "God is Trans", which has called blasphemous. The mass was said by a visiting priest in year prior, Fr Gil Martinez.

But what is the opinion on this mass? What is the opinion on people of the LGBT community? Is it sinful? Is it right? These questions and more will be answered in this article.

First of, the mass itself is not fully right. Could you imagine if a mass was said in front of an abortion clinic? A strip club? That is exactly what this mass is. Catholics are against Gay Marriage, and Transgender. First off the Catholic Church does not condemn people of LGBT community, rather they follow what Jesus said, Love one another. The Catholic Church rather says that the acts of this community are sinful. (Explaining the previous comparison, both Abortion Clinics and Porn are both very sinful places for Catholics.)

First off Catholics are against Gay

Marriage because it violates God's laws on Marriage. In Genesis it says Male and Female he created them. And says that Woman leaves her mother and father to be joined to her husband. Marriage is strictly between a man and a woman. And gay sex is also against God's laws of sex. The end goal of sex and marriage is the procreation of children, in which gay sex and gay marriage cannot accomplish.

Next the catholic church is against transgender because it is an act against God. In a way it is playing God, which is why Catholics are also against cloning. We play God and we also violate his creation. In Genesis it says Male and Female he created them. When we change our sex from Male and Female we disregard what is said in the bible. When we change our identity from other than what god has given, then we play God and violate his creation. When we identify as another animal we degrade ourselves, God gave man dominion over all the animals. Naming ourselves as an animal means lowering ourselves.

In total the LGBT community is not itself bad. It's acts are sinful. Marriage is not possible in sight of God. We cannot change our gender because every cell in our body is labeled with the Gender God has given us. We cannot become and animal because we are human with the nature given to us by God. But that does not mean we should condemn people because they are apart of this community. Jesus has called us to lover everyone, even our enemies
